Can a Truly Born Again Christian Be Demon Possessed?

No. A truly born-again Christian cannot be demon-possessed. When the Holy Spirit comes in, He takes ownership of that life. The devil cannot cross the Blood, cannot share that temple, and cannot possess the soul that is sealed by the Holy Ghost.
2) Scriptural Explanation
- The Bible says believers are “sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise… until the redemption” (Ephesians 1:13-14). A sealed life is not an open house.
- “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). The One inside is greater than any spirit outside.
- “Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost” (1 Corinthians 6:19), and “what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?” (2 Corinthians 6:16). God doesn’t share His temple with demons.

- Jesus described the “strong man,” but said a “stronger than he” comes and takes over (Luke 11:21-22). Christ, the Stronger One, occupies the believer.

- Possession means ownership and control of the inner man. That cannot happen where the Holy Spirit dwells and seals.
- Oppression is different. A believer can be harassed, tempted, or afflicted in body or mind. Scripture shows a “daughter of Abraham” whom Satan had bound physically (Luke 13:16), and believers are told, “Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27). So attacks are real, but ownership is not.
- The Bible’s order is clear: repent, submit to God, and “resist the devil, and he will flee” (James 4:7). He may knock, but he cannot take the house that the Lord has sealed.
