Is God Not Being Unfair by Electing Some and Leaving Others?

- The Bible says God chose us in Christ “before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4-5,11). Names were written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 13:8; 21:27). “As many as were ordained to eternal life believed” (Acts 13:48). “All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me” (John 6:37), and “No man can come… except the Father… draw him” (John 6:44).
- Yet the invitation is genuine: “Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17). No one who truly comes is turned away (John 6:37).
- God’s sovereignty in election is clear: “Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated” before they were born (Romans 9:11-16). He is the Potter with power over the clay (Romans 9:21). And “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Genesis 18:25). He cannot be unjust.
- God's foreknowledge is the basis of His justice in election. Since He knows the end from the beginning, His choices are never arbitrary but are made with perfect knowledge (Isaiah 46:10).
