Is It Possible to Have Spiritual Experiences as a Believer for Which There Are No Matches in God's Bible?

No. Not in the sense of a revelation that has no witness in the Bible. God may give you personal dealings whose details are unique to your life, but no true experience from the Holy Spirit will stand outside, add to, or contradict the written Word. Every genuine experience will have its pattern, principle, and doctrine anchored in Scripture.

- The Bible says the faith was “once for all delivered” to the saints (Jude 3). So God is not adding new doctrine by experiences.
- “All Scripture… thoroughly furnishes” the man of God (2 Timothy 3:16–17). If it’s of God, it fits the Word that already furnishes us.
- “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isaiah 8:20).

Hold the Bible as your Absolute. Receive any experience that harmonizes with the Word, and reject whatever cannot be found as a Scriptural pattern or that adds to it. If it isn’t in the Word in doctrine and principle, leave it alone.
