When Will Jesus Be Crowned and by Who?

Jesus will be crowned after the catching away of the saints, at the marriage supper in glory, and He will be crowned by His redeemed Bride. Then He will return with His saints and take the throne of David in the Millennium, where His Kingship is openly manifested before the nations.
2) Scriptural Explanation
- The marriage of the Lamb comes first: “Let us be glad and rejoice… for the marriage of the Lamb is come” (Revelation 19:7-9). That is where the Bride is with Him in heaven. Revelation 7:9-17 shows that redeemed multitude before the throne, and Revelation 20:4 shows the overcomers who reign with Him—this is the Bride company present to honor Him.
- The redeemed have crowns and worship before Him: the elders “cast their crowns before the throne” (Revelation 4:10-11), showing the saints yielding all honor to the One on the throne and to the Lamb (Revelation 5:8-14). That is the Bride’s act of coronation—giving Him the diadem of her love, victory, and authority.
- Then He appears as the crowned King: when He comes back, “on His head were many crowns… KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS” (Revelation 19:11-16). What was recognized in heaven is then displayed to the world.
- He takes the earthly throne: “The Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: and He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever” (Luke 1:32-33). “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ” (Revelation 11:15).
- God has already exalted Him: “God also hath highly exalted Him… that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow” (Philippians 2:9-11). The Father has placed all things under Him (1 Corinthians 15:25-28), and the Bride acknowledges and crowns what God has decreed.

- Now notice, He is already Lord by divine decree. But at the marriage supper the Bride—redeemed from all ages—crowns Him in worship and surrender. That is heaven’s coronation.
- Then He returns with many crowns to sit on David’s throne in the Millennium. That is earth’s recognition of the same Kingship.
