Is Jane the Son of the Devil?

I won’t put that label on Jane. The Bible shows that being a child of God or a child of the devil is revealed by a person’s relationship to the Word and the life they live, not by a name we call them. God knows the heart; we discern by fruits.

- Now notice what Jesus said: “You are of your father the devil” to those who rejected His Word and sought to kill Him (John 8:44). That was about their unbelief and deeds.
- The Bible says, “He that commits sin is of the devil… In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil” (1 John 3:8-10). That speaks of a willful, unrepentant practice of sin.
- “By their fruits you shall know them” (Matthew 7:20).
- “As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God” (John 1:12-13).
- Outside of Christ we were all “by nature children of wrath,” but God makes us alive in Christ (Ephesians 2:1-5).
3) Simple Clarifying Logic
- Sonship is about nature. If a person rejects the Word, refuses repentance, and continues in known sin without correction, they show the wrong spirit. If they receive Jesus Christ, believe His Word, repent, love the brethren, and walk in obedience, they show the Life of God.
- So the question isn’t a name—“Is Jane…?”—but the evidence: Does she believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? Has she been born again? Are the fruits there? The new birth changes our nature and makes us children of God.

Pray for her, point her to Christ, and let the Word do the discerning. God’s desire is to save, cleanse, and make us His own.
